For more than two centuries, speculation has raged about Mozart's sudden death at age 35. Was it a parasite from an undercooked pork chop? Accidental mercury poisoning from treating syphilis? A new report suggests a more common ailment: a streptococcal infection -- possibly strep throat -- that led to kidney failure.
