There are two very important features of IDseal secure email that are available to all IDseal users. Depending on your specific needs, you may use only one or both of these features.

* An encrypted communications channel (SSL): This feature prevents your email from being read by your ISP and your corporate firewall admin person. You can communicate with any person at any email account, including those who do not use encrypted email at all, and enjoy protection by an encrypted communications channel. No special software is required to enjoy this feature.
* An IDseal Cryptographic Engine (ICE): This feature provides end-to-end security when you communicate with people who use the OpenPGP secure email standard. You can digitally sign your messages, and encrypt the contents of the messages that can only be decrypted by the recipients. To use this feature, the people whom you are communicating with must be using PGP-compatible software. PGP is military grade encryption technology that is supported on all major computing platforms
