There have been some truly brilliant horror games released over the years, and coming up with a definitive Top 5 of the ?scariest? was always going to be a tall order. However, after much pondering and re-living of virtual nightmares, I present to you my in-no-way-scientifically-determined selection of the games which have most haunted your sleep.

Doom 3 was the most predictable game I ever played. The original was much more scary just due to the newness of the genre.
